KC-ASTD Takes You Back to Basics!

In response to requests from members, KC-ASTD hosts a Back-to-Basics brown bag training series. Each class provides an hour and half of instruction on a basic training and development skill (e.g., making training more engaging, basics of instructional design, presentation skills, performance consulting, etc.)

Who should attend? These sessions will appeal most to: those new to the training function, those making a transition from academia to training in a corporate setting, and those who want to brush up on skills.

When and where are the sessions? One session is scheduled every other month at locations around the city, on Thursdays, from 11:30am-1pm.

What’s the cost and what do I get for that? Members pay $25 and non-members $40 for an hour and a half of instruction led by a local workplace learning professional, one hard copy of the course materials, and access to the materials electronically after the class.

What should I bring to class? A writing instrument, your lunch (if you’d like to use the time as dual-purpose training and lunch hour), and a willingness to actively participate.

Courses & Dates Each course name below becomes an active link to register when a class is scheduled.
